Welcome to Bohusläns Climbing Club (Bohusläns Klätterklubb, BKK)!
It is not only the old stonemasons who love the famous red granite of Bohuslän! Known for it’s clean crack climbs and the beautiful scenery in this coastal region, climbers have been travelling to this area for over thirty years. Bohuslän is one of the most well-known climbing areas in Scandinavia, and despite it’s popularity, still has a pristine and adventurous feeling to it!
Bohusläns Klätterklubb, based in Bärfendalen in Munkedal’s municipality, is committed to the development of climbing in Bohuslän The climbing club is a sports association under the Swedish Climbing Association (Svenska Klätterförbundet). BKK has many groups to cover all of the areas of climbing in Bohuslän along with activities:
-The very popular club camp in Bärfendal.
-The indoor climbing wall in Uddevalla
-Work with access and climbing rights in Bohuslän
-Maintainence of routes, for example up-keep of bolts and top anchors
BKK has around 300 memebers. With the opening of our new indoor wall in the spring of 2011, we have seen a significant increase in members, mostly within the youth section.

BKK’s Camp
Bohusläns Climbing Club has a camp in Bärfendal which, along with offering accommodation, is a meeting place for the club’s members and visiting climbers. The hut is open for accommodation inside the camp and camping on the club’s property. Inside the camp you will find a kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, oven, and water. There is a newly renovated and insulated loft, 12 beds, a living room and a very cozy fireplace! On the property there is a toilet, outdoor sink, tables, space to make food under roof, and electricity. Camping (tent space) is on a first come first serve basis.

Make sure when you transfer the money to write that it is payment for accommodation/camping, if you are a member or not, what you are paying for, bed or camping, number of nights, and the date.

Directions: (If you have a GPS, the address is: Myrtorp 22, Dingle) Exit number 102 from E6 towards Dingle, turn left onto route 174 going west. After around 6.5 km turn left towards Lysekil. After around 1 km you will see the driveway, there is a small sign for Bohusläns Klätterklubb on the right hand side. On the opposide side of the road is a farm with a white house (you can not see the climbing club from the road). Drive up the driveway and park.

Be a camp/tenting member: Do you want to have the opportunity to stay at the club’s camp as much as you want without worrying about paying every time? For 500SEK per year you have unlimited access to the club’s hut.
